The Architecture department was established in 1999 as part of the faculty of Engineering and has been specializing in
Architecture Engineering. The department provides two levels of academic studies: 
  • Undergraduate study (BSc.); which consists of 5 academic years of study and awards the students a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture Engineering

  • Postgraduate studies (MSc. And PhD); with the former consists of 2 years and the latter 4 years of academic study, each one of the postgraduate course awards certificate based on different aspects and subjects of both traditional and modern architecture.            

The objective of the department is to combine architectural design with structural studies, in theory and design.

Our students will be taught building type design and will be familiarize with building construction, urban design and planning, interior design, landscape design and history of architecture in preparation of engaging with social and field practice.
Today, our department has nearly 250 undergraduate students, 9 Masters degree students and 6 PhD researchers.
