The department awards a 
(BSc.) degree in the fields of Irrigation Engineering after four academic years. The studying program of this department consists of theoretical and practical courses using laboratories and computer applications.

Graduates responsibilities from this department will include but not limited to: Performing site surveying and land outlines and bench marking, performing engineering analyses and calculations; conducting civil engineering designs; preparing engineering drawings and technical specifications; soil investigations, analysis and testing, conducting computer modelling related to water resources; conducting water and sewerage designs and implementations, preparing technical documents including letters, memorandum, bills of quantities and reports; preparing and delivering technical presentations; conducting a variety of fieldwork related to engineering consulting; supervising and directing field personnel works; interacting with client representatives; and managing and developing schedule/budget for project tasks.
