We are deeply honored to announce that Dr Brwa Hamah Saeed and Dr Wrya Sabir will grace the occasion as keynote speakers, delivering enlightening presentations on September 24th at 2 PM and September 26th at 11 AM, respectively. In this year’s rankings, Sulaimani University has achieved a significant milestone, securing the top spot among public universities in the Kurdistan Region and an impressive fourth place among all universities in Iraq. This accomplishment firmly establishes Sulaimani University as a prominent institution in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as a whole, particularly excelling in the fields of general medicine and engineering. In fact, it is worth noting that in both general medicine and engineering, Sulaimani University proudly holds the leading position within Iraq. Additionally, within the broader context of Arab universities, Sulaimani University’s engineering program has earned a commendable thirtee nth place, a testament to its growing reputation at both regional and global levels.
In light of this significant achievement, the Deanship of the College of Engineering at Sulaimani University extends heartfelt congratulations to our dedicated scientific and administrative departments, our esteemed faculty members, hardworking academic staff, diligent employees, and talented students. زانکۆی سلێمانی هەمیشە وەک پێشەنگ لە خوێندنی ئەندازیاریدا لە پێشەنگەوە وەستاوە، نەک تەنها لە هەرێمی کوردستان بەڵکو لە سەرانسەری عێراقیشدا. ئەم دەستکەوتە سەرنجڕاکێشە بە دوایین ڕیزبەندی ساڵی ٢٠٢٣ دامەزراوەی بەناوبانگی سیماگۆ پشتڕاست دەکرێتەوە، کە لەسەر بنەماکانی (توێژینەوە، نوێکاریی و داهێنان، کاری پێکەوەیی) ئەنجامدراوە
لە ڕیزبەندی سیماگۆی ئەمساڵدا، زانکۆی سلێمانی پێشەنگیەکی بەرچاوی بەدەستهێنا، پلەی یەکەمی لەنێو زانکۆ حکومییەکانی هەرێمی کوردستان و پلەی چوارەمی لەنێو سەرجەم زانکۆکانی عێراق مسۆگەر کرد. ئەم دەستکەوتە زانکۆی سلێمانی وەک دامەزراوەیەکی پێشەنگ لە هەرێمی کوردستان و عێراق بە تایبەتی لە بوارەکانی پزیشکی گشتی و ئەندازیاریدا بە توندی جێگیر دەکات بەجۆرێک لە بواری پزیشکی گشتی و ئەندازیاریدا یەکەمی سەر ئاستی عێراقە. شایەنی باسە لە بواری ئەندازیاریدا، زانکۆی سلێمانی لە نێو زانکۆ عەرەبییەکاندا پلەی سێزدەیەمی بەدەستهێناوە، ئەمەش هێما بۆ پەرەسەندنی ناوبانگەکەی دەکات لەسەر ئاستی ناوچەیی و جیهانی.
لە ژێر ڕۆشنایی ئەو دەسکەتە گرنگە جێی سەرنجە، وەک ڕاگرایەتی کۆلێژی ئەندازیاری لە زانکۆی سلێمانی، لە دڵەوە پیرۆزبایی خۆمان ئاراستەی بەشە زانستی و کارگێڕییە دڵسۆزەکانی کۆلێژەکەمان، مامۆستا بەڕێزەکانمان، ستافی ئەکادیمی بەئەمەک، کارمەندە ماندوونەناسەکانمان، و خوێندکاری بەتوانامان بکەین. لە کاتێکدا ئاهەنگ دەگێڕین بۆ ئەم دەستکەوتە، ئێمەش بە خۆشحاڵییەوە دامەزراندنی بەشێکی نوێ لە ئەندازیاری کۆمپیوتەر ڕادەگەیەنین. ئەم زیادکردنە بەڵگەیە لەسەر پابەندبوونمان بە پێشخستنی زانیاری زانستی و ئەندازیاری کە پێداویستییەکانی خوێندکارەکانمان و کۆمەڵگاکەمان لە بواری ئەندازیاری بە گشتی دابین دەکات. ئێمە بە تامەزرۆییەوە پێشوازی لە خوێندکاران دەکەین بۆ دەستپێکردنی ئەم گەشتە ئەکادیمییە سەرنجڕاکێشە لە بواری ئەندازیاری کۆمپیوتەردا و هەمیشە لە هەوڵی پێشکەوتنی بەردەوامدا دەبین
The Department of Computer Engineering was inaugurated by Dr. Kosar Mohammed, Rector-President of Sulaimani University, his assistants, dean and college teachers.
In the beginning, the importance of the department was presented by a panel discussion, in which each of (Dr. Serwan Khurshid, Dr. Jaza Faiq) participated in the panel conducted by (Mr. Tawana Saeed).
Then the University president, his assistants, the audience and guests opened the department together.
On September 5, 2023, our College hosted the Falling Walls Lab competition. It’s important to note that this event receives annual sponsorship from the German organization DAAD. This year, thanks to the successful collaboration between the University of Sulaimani and DAAD Iraq, the competition was held at our College of Engineering.
Fortunately, a significant number of participants presented their projects to both the audience and the evaluation committee. These participants came from various regions, including the Kurdistan Region and other cities in Iraq, and they presented ideas and project summaries covering fields such as environmental studies, technology, science, engineering, and medicine. Their primary goal was to offer innovative solutions to contemporary issues with a strong emphasis on sustainability.
We believe that this event marks the beginning of a journey towards success and groundbreaking innovations. On behalf of the College of Engineering, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all participants and offer our best wishes for success to the winners. The top winner has earned an exclusive invitation to participate in the prestigious Falling Walls Lab in Germany, competing alongside selected representatives from different countries.
